Frequently Asked Questions

Zubr is one of the UK’s leading immersive content studios, and Futures is our special branch dedicated to policymaking, future visioning, research and training. We are unique in our approach to knowledge transfer; bringing unrivalled creative skills and agile methodologies from our arts, heritage and marketing branches to government, construction, medical and security projects. This enables us to build truly novel solutions in new sectors. Zubr’s creative and technical teams are experienced virtual worldbuilders; whether we are producing navigable, dystopian cities for the Ministry of Defence, or enabling citizen-led urban renewal through AR creation tools.

Whilst we are a full-service virtual reality development company, we also offer many other services to maximise the value of immersive technologies. This includes utilising other deployment technologies such as augmented reality and interactive screens, capture technologies such as 3D scanning and 3D 360 photography, and unique platforms including our proprietary AR binoculars, web-based AR, and multi-user training systems.

Zubr Futures is based in the United Kingdom, but we serve clients across the world; including the US and Europe in particular.

Our headquarters in Bristol is advantageous for our work with corporate, government and consulting clients across the breadth of the UK and beyond. We understand the nuances of the local industries in ways that international companies cannot. At the same time, our uniquely British expertise, craftsmanship and quality is respected internationally.

At Zubr Futures, we begin a project by ensuring that both parties understand and agree exactly what value immersive technology will bring; why it has been chosen, how it will be deployed and what the chosen technology entails. We do this to ensure that we have chosen the best route forwards after all alternatives have been considered, as we do not employ immersive technologies as a gimmick. Following this, we develop the principal creative approach to the content, informed by our experience of creating 400+ immersive experiences over the past decade. Once this has been scoped and agreed, a work plan is devised and implemented to ensure the project stays on time and on budget. Key milestones are accompanied by client feedback iterations, leading to a successful project delivery. The project is smoothly handed over, often with an in-person meeting and training session, and followed by a period of support and service agreement as necessary.

Zubr Futures was specially formed to encapsulate the considerable work we undertake for government agencies, corporations, consultancies and universities to produce immersive content solutions for policymaking, future visioning, research and training. More specifically, we operate in the Rail and Transport, Medical and Pharmaceutical, Construction and Urban Planning, Climate Change and ESG, and Defence and Security sectors.
